Love and Cash (Penny Pinchers) is a heartwarming romantic comedy about two extremely different people forced into an unlikely partnership. Ji Woong is a jobless, broke young man who suddenly finds himself homeless after his mother cuts off his financial support. Just when all hope seems lost, he is rescued by Hong Shil, an extremely frugal woman who lives like a modern-day Scrooge. Hong Shil hoards cash, collects empty bottles, and avoids any expenses, including boyfriends. However, her savings plans halt when she realizes she needs a bank account under someone else's name to reach her goal of 200 million won. Seeing Ji Woong as the perfect solution, she takes him in as her rooftop roommate. In exchange for shelter, Ji Woong has no choice but to act as her personal slave and follow her extreme penny-pinching rules. What starts as a desperate business arrangement soon turns into a chaotic and charming relationship as they learn the true value of life and love.
