Description:

Last Friends is a poignant drama that deeply explores the modern struggles of young adults facing trauma and abuse. The story follows Michiru, a beauty parlour assistant suffering from workplace bullying and a difficult home life. Looking for escape, she cohabits with her boyfriend, only to become a victim of domestic violence and develop a deep fear of love. Her life changes when she reunites with Ruka, her boyishly charming junior high school classmate. Ruka is a talented motocross racer who hides a profound, unspoken worry. They are joined by Takeru, a kind hair and makeup artist attracted to Ruka, who struggles with a severe sex phobia due to past trauma. As the three become housemates, they build a unique bond of trust and understanding. Together, they navigate their painful realities, helping each other heal, overcome their deepest fears, and find a positive way forward in life.
