In the stylish romantic comedy Lacuna, two complete strangers, Shen Wei (played by Shawn Yue) and Tong Xin (played by Zhang Jingchu), wake up in bed together inside a furniture mall. Suffering from a massive hangover and total memory loss about the previous night, they flee the scene in embarrassment. However, reality quickly catches up with them. Tong Xin discovers that a large sum of cash entrusted to her by her boss has vanished. Meanwhile, Shen Wei realizes he has lost his company car, and embarrassing photos of his drunken antics are already viral online. Desperate to piece their lives back together, the two are reunited when the police call about a missing pet they apparently reported. To recover the lost money, the missing car, and their dignity, Shen Wei and Tong Xin must team up on a wild, hilarious journey to reconstruct their forgotten drunken escapades and solve the ultimate mystery of what actually happened during their wild night out.
