Set during the illustrious Wanli Emperor's reign in the Ming dynasty, a thrilling adventure unfolds as Eastern Depot supervisor Sun Yehe receives a grave command: capture formidable monsters that have escaped the royal palace. Simultaneously, the skilled militia warrior Zhen Jian, alongside his martial arts junior Xiong Jiaojiao and the formidable female warrior Leng Bingbing, assembles a band of forest fighters. Their ambitious plan is to seize silver from corrupt officials to aid the common folk.

However, their heist takes an unexpected turn when the precious silver mysteriously vanishes. Adding to the chaos, the notorious wanted criminal Feng Sihai makes an appearance, soon followed by the enigmatic Jianghu wanderer Wu Bai. As these disparate forces converge, a much greater crisis looms. The dangerous monsters, initially a separate threat, are keenly observing the unfolding events, hinting at a looming catastrophe that could engulf them all.
