In Kochikame The Movie, Kankichi Ryotsu Shingo Katori is a troublemaking police officer at the Kameri Park Police Box. He constantly causes chaos for his coworkers Reiko Catherine Akimoto Karina, Keiichi Nakagawa Mokomichi Hayami, and his boss Ohara Masato Ibu. Everything changes when Kankichi reunites with his childhood crush, Momoko Kyoko Fukada, a single mother working in a traveling dance group. Kankichi quickly bonds with her daughter, Yui Ririka Kawashima, and dreams of quitting the force to marry Momoko. After a massive fight with Ohara, Kankichi impulsively resigns. However, when Yui is kidnapped after being mistaken for the Police Commissioner's granddaughter, the police force loses its urgency. Angered by this lack of care, Kankichi takes matters into his own hands. Alongside Keiichi Nakagawa, he launches a rogue investigation to rescue Yui. As they delve deeper into the kidnapping, they uncover a dark secret from the past that the police department is desperate to keep hidden.
