Description:

Veteran detective Onizuka Ichiro, now confined to a wheelchair after a career-ending injury, is reappointed to lead the Judicial Section at Shinjuku Higashi Police Precincts, recognized for his exceptional case-solving abilities. His quiet post-retirement life is disrupted when Matsumoto Yugo is discovered dead in Shinjuku Botanical Garden. A computer search reveals Matsumoto had reported a bicycle theft just a month prior, a detail Onizuka immediately suspects is connected to the murder.

Working alongside his subordinate Toyama Saki and Jin Keitaro, a detective transferred from the First Investigative Division, Onizuka initiates a thorough investigation. However, their efforts are met with stern opposition from the new police chief, Azuma Kanata. Unpleased with their section's involvement in a murder inquiry, the chief clashes with Keitaro over their investigative approach, adding an internal power struggle to the complex case.
