Kids Return: Saikai no Toki is a compelling drama set ten years after the events of Kids Return. Having graduated from high school, Shinji and Masaru chose completely different paths in life. Shinji chased his dream of becoming a professional boxer, while Masaru entered the dangerous world of the yakuza. Although both strove to reach the top of their respective fields, they ultimately failed. A decade later, a defeated Shinji has abandoned boxing, scraping by with part-time jobs. Meanwhile, Masaru is released from prison and immediately returns to the gang life. When the two old friends unexpectedly meet once again, their reunion sparks a new beginning. With Masaru’s encouragement, Shinji decides to step back into the boxing ring to reclaim his passion.
