In the action-packed martial arts film Kick Boxer, trouble brews for the esteemed Po Chi Lam kung fu school while master Wong Fei Hung is away. Impulsive student Lau Zhai Yuen Biao and his classmate So Wu Ma accidentally bring crates of herbs from Hong Kong that are secretly packed with opium. Determined to clear his school's tarnished reputation, Lau Zhai takes the fall for the disaster and embarks on a dangerous mission to expose the real smugglers. He discovers that his old friend Ming is working for the ruthless opium mastermind, Chairman Wah Yuen Wah. To gather proof, Lau Zhai teams up with local police chief Panther and goes undercover deep within the criminal syndicate. This dangerous ruse forces him to alienate his closest friends and play the villain, enduring their bitter scorn.
