Description:

Based on a national census, the number of unmarried women between the ages of 30 and 40 is at an all-time high. This Fuji TV drama, Kekkon Shinai, explores the realistic struggles of single women navigating their early and late 30s. Rather than rejecting the concept of marriage entirely, these women face a complex web of obstacles in their personal lives. Some hold high expectations or find it difficult to be genuine around men, while others are drawn to losers, find single life much easier, or view men as unreliable. As they struggle to decide if they want to marry for themselves or to please society, they begin to lose hope. Things simply do not work out, leaving them to question the true purpose of marriage. Kekkon Shinai realistically portrays the daily trials and tribulations of love, friendship, and work for modern unmarried women trying to find their own way.
