Kazoku Game is a troubling drama based on the award winning novel by Honma Yohei. Returning to Fuji TV Wednesday nights, the story stars Sakurai Sho as Yoshimoto Koya, a wacky, unpredictable private tutor with a handsome face and a reckless mouth. Koya is hired to tutor Numata Shigeyuki, an underachiever on the verge of dropping out of middle school. Shigeyuki has become a shutin at home after being bullied at school and betrayed by his best friend. Expecting immediate results, Shigeyukis father offers Koya a 100000 yen bonus if he can make Shigeyuki return to school within a week. Koya accepts, claiming he only needs five days, but demands that no one interfere with his teaching methodology.
