Kaito royale is a thrilling drama centered around a high stakes heist at a high society party hosted by a jeweller. The ultimate target is Alexanders tear, a legendary alexandrite ring praised as the best jewel among jewels. Kamimura Rei, a lone wolf thief, is recruited to steal the ring by Nishizaki, the butler of a mysterious woman named Kitaba Yoko. Rei accepts the dangerous mission because Nishizaki hints at possessing crucial information about his lost memory. Unbeknownst to him, Katagiri Karen and Kishihara Taiga have also been recruited for the exact same target. As these rival thieves plot to get close to the ring, they remain unaware of each other's presence. This setup triggers an intense battle of wits, where they must cheat and steal what has already been stolen. However, their mission is complicated by the tragic history of the ring, which caused its owner to die, and the sudden interference of a shadowy evil organisation.
