Description:

Poong, the Joseon Psychiatrist Season 1 centers on Yoo Se Poong, a physician of legendary skill within the royal palace. His life takes an abrupt turn when he is implicated in a royal family conspiracy, leading to his expulsion from court. He relocates to the peculiar yet picturesque Gyesu Village, seeking a fresh start.

In Gyesu, he encounters Kye Ji Han, a grumpy old doctor with a kind heart. Kye Ji Han becomes a mentor, challenging Yoo Se Poong to evolve beyond physical ailments and embrace the healing of emotional wounds. The village also introduces him to Seo Eun Woo, a noble widow with exceptional observational skills and deep empathy. Having endured a sudden, unwanted marriage and now grieving a deceased husband, her personal sorrow mirrors the plight of many heartbroken villagers.
