Description:

The cinematic masterpiece Joint Security Area centers on the Bridge of No Return in Panmunjom, the highly tense border dividing North and South Korea. When a North Korean border guard is shot dead and a wounded South Korean soldier is discovered in the middle of nomansland, a major diplomatic crisis erupts. North Korea accuses the South of a deliberate terrorist attack, while South Korea suspects a hostile abduction attempt. To prevent war, both nations call upon the neutral NNSC to investigate the incident. A female Swiss army captain of Korean descent is sent to Panmunjom to uncover what really happened. Initially met with absolute silence and hostility from both North and South Korean officers, she must break through the wall of non-cooperation. Ultimately, both sides must allow the truth to come out to defuse a highly explosive international incident.
