Inbound Troubles is a captivating comedy-drama that follows Ng Kayee Roger Kwok, an ambitious tour guide aiming to be the best in the industry. After establishing a travel agency with his girlfriend Szema Shukching Angela Tong, Kayee is cheated, leaving him bankrupt and heavily in debt. Hoping to quietly rebuild his life and marry Shukching, Kayee is devastated when she falls in love with his best friend Ching Siushan Bob. Amidst his despair, Kayee crosses paths with newly immigrated social worker Yik Suetfei Joey Meng, his Dongguan cousin Choi Sum Wong Cholam who dreams of becoming a singer, and an old singer Monrole Mimi Chu who is always looking for free meals. To make matters worse, his sister Ng Chiching Ivana Wong returns to Hong Kong after lying about completing her degree in Taiwan. The cultural clashes between Hong Kong and mainland China spark daily family chaos, helping the once-cowardly Kayee overcome his low self-esteem and discover his ultimate dream.
