Description:

The heartfelt film Ima Ai ni Yukimasu centers on Yuuji, a young first-grader deeply affected by his mother's death. He struggles to accept that she won't return. His late mother had penned a special picture book for him, weaving a comforting story about a mother who passes away but promises to reappear with the rainy season. Yuuji clings to this promise, believing his mother will indeed come back. Astonishingly, his unwavering faith is rewarded. On a rainy June morning marking the season's start, Yuuji runs to their cherished forest play spot. His father, pursuing him, finds them both at an old ruined building. There, Yuuji's mother, Mio, awaits them—fully alive and healthy. However, she carries no memories of her family or her past life, setting the stage for an extraordinary and poignant journey of love and rediscovery.
