In the action film Ichi, Haruka Ayase stars as Ichi, a beautiful blind entertainer traveling the countryside. Carrying only a traditional guitar and a walking stick, she searches for the kind man who raised her. However, her beauty makes her a target. Unknown to her enemies, Ichi is a deadly swordswoman with a blade hidden in her walking stick. When the notorious Banki gang corners her, a terrified passerby named Toma Fujihira Takao Osawa tries to stand up for her. To protect him, Ichi unleashes her lethal skills and methodically kills the attackers. The two decide to travel together, forming a close bond with a hint of romance. But their peace is short-lived when they reach the next town, where other members of the Banki gang lie in wait, seeking revenge on Ichi.
