Set in 1969 Korea, the heartwarming drama Ice Bar follows the journey of Youngrae, a plucky ten-year-old boy living in the countryside with his hardworking mother. Life is a constant struggle, forcing his mother to sell illegally imported cosmetics on the streets to survive. Despite their hardships, Youngrae is brave and fiercely defends his mother. However, his biggest pain is the cruel bullying from local children who mock him for being fatherless.

Everything changes when Youngrae discovers that the father he has always dreamed of is actually alive and residing in Seoul. Determined to meet him, he makes it his ultimate life goal to travel to the big city. Unfortunately, the journey requires a long and expensive train ride that he cannot afford. Undeterred, the young boy decides to raise the ticket money by selling ice cream bars on the streets. As he works tirelessly toward his goal, will his dream of a family reunion finally come true?
