In the romantic drama I Wish I Had a Wife, Bongsoo Sol KyungGu is a dedicated manager of a small bank in an apartment complex who has never been late. However, a sudden subway delay makes him realize a harsh truth: while everyone around him has someone to call, he has no one. This painful loneliness prompts him to skip work for the first time. Meanwhile, Wonju Jeon DoYeon, a 27yearold woman working at the educational center across the street, harbors a secret love for him. Although they constantly run into each other at a local Ramen restaurant, the bank, and the bus station, Bongsoo remains completely oblivious to her presence. The turning point arrives when Bongsoo reviews the bank's CCTV tapes. He discovers a silent recording of someone pitifully calling his name directly into the camera, forcing him to finally recognize the love that has been right in front of him.
