Based on a tragic true story, the movie Holiday, directed by Yang Yunho, exposes the dark side of preparations for the 1988 Olympics. To impress foreign visitors, the government brutally destroys squatter settlements, leaving countless residents homeless. During one of these violent clearances, Ji Kang Hyuk loses his best friend, who is gunned down before Ji is unjustly sent to prison. In a cruel twist of fate, Ji finds himself under the control of Ahn Seok, the corrupt officer responsible for his friend's death. Enduring Ahn's brutal prison regime, Ji and a group of fellow inmates stage a daring escape. Together, they fight to expose the oppressive laws and inequality that ruined their lives.
