Hidamari ga Kikoeru is a heartwarming drama about Sugihara Kohei, a college student who gradually isolates himself because of his hard of hearing condition. Constant misunderstandings make him keep his distance from others. However, everything changes when his cheerful and somewhat foolish classmate, Taiichi, accidentally stumbles into him. Drawn to Kohei’s delicious bento, Taiichi happily accepts a portion of the food, but Kohei leaves without a single word. Only later does Taiichi discover the truth about Kohei’s hearing loss. With his bright personality, Taiichi confronts Kohei with comforting words, telling him that his hearing impairment is not his fault. This simple act of kindness saves Kohei, prompting him to open up and change. Slowly, Taiichi and Kohei form a deep connection, embarking on a touching relationship that is more than friends but less than lovers.
