Description:

Hero follows Kuryu Kohei, an unconventional prosecutor from the Tokyo District Public Prosecutors Office. He faces a challenging case where an accused person, after initially confessing, suddenly claims innocence at the first hearing. Kuryu finds himself pitted against Gamo Kazuomi, a highly acclaimed attorney renowned for achieving the highest number of criminal case acquittals in Japan. Kuryu is perplexed by Gamo's involvement in a seemingly minor case, as the attorney employs unperturbed and varied tactics to corner him. Unbeknownst to Kuryu, his current trial carries significant weight. Simultaneously, the Tokyo District Public Prosecutors Office is conducting a special investigation into a major bribery case involving Diet member Hanaoka Renzaburo. It is revealed that the adjudication of Kuryu's case holds the key to the larger Hanaoka bribery investigation. Despite a past encounter with Hanaoka, Kuryu remains focused on uncovering the truth, aided by his legal aide Amamiya.
