Description:

In 1991 Busan, a prominent travel agency owner named Moon faces a distressing situation when her housekeeper, Bae Jung Gil, suddenly disappears. This mysterious vanishing occurs soon after a comfort woman's harrowing confession, by Kim Hak Soon, captivates global attention. Moon, driven by concern, embarks on a relentless search and eventually discovers Bae hiding at her son's home, revealing a shocking truth: Bae herself was a comfort woman. Deeply moved, Moon sets aside her thriving business to establish a report center, dedicated to assisting other victims. She quickly realizes that genuine healing demands an official apology and compensation from the Japanese government. Moon then commits her personal resources to fund a groundbreaking legal battle. After six arduous years of tireless effort and advocacy, the women finally confront their past in 1998, awaiting the pivotal verdict of the Shimonoseki trial, striving for justice and recognition.
