Heartbeat Love is a romantic miniseries starring Show Luo as Lee Wei Chen and Rainie Yang as Yang Xiao Yu. Their journey begins in Australia when a luggage mix-up with a man named GayGay leads Xiao Yu to mistakenly believe Lee is gay. Based on this misunderstanding, they share a hotel room. After pretending to be married for a day, they quickly fall in love, but Xiao Yu feels betrayed when she discovers the truth about Lee. They head to Melbourne separately but keep crossing paths. After Lee helps her escape a mysterious man, Xiao Yu forgives him, and their romance deepens. However, when the stranger reappears, Xiao Yu claims she is a runaway bride with no feelings for Lee, leaving him heartbroken as he returns to Taiwan. A year later, Lee discovers the man was actually Xiao Yu's brother, and she had pushed him away to undergo risky heart surgery. Armed with this truth, Lee travels to Tasmania to reunite with his true love.
