In Happy Funeral, six youngsters occupying the 6th Floor Rear Flat, Ji, Kay, Bonbon, Pang, 6 Wing, and C Kwan, spend their days partying and chasing unrealistic dreams. Their lives take a sudden turn when Kay attends her boyfriend's grandmother's traditional, somber Hong Kong-style funeral. Bored during the long service, the friends chat on Facebook and hit upon a brilliant, unconventional startup idea: a happy funeral business that celebrates life rather than mourning death. Though lacking the capital to launch, they fortuitously meet a prosperous funeral business owner played by Eric Tsang. He agrees to front them 10 million HK dollars if they can present a feasible business plan. To secure the funding, these unmotivated youngsters must get their act together, learn the mysteries of Microsoft Office, and turn their wild dream into reality.
