Happiness for Sale is a heartwarming comedy-drama about MiNa (Choi GangHee), a Seoul tax collector whose life takes a sudden downturn. After breaking up with her cheating boyfriend and getting suspended from her job, she reluctantly returns to her hometown of Muju. Her goal is to sell her hospitalized father’s decrepit business, MiNas Stationary. MiNa despised her childhood there as an outcast, but she has two months to revive the closed store to attract a buyer. Meanwhile, KangHo (Bong TaeGyu) also returns to Muju to work as an elementary school teacher, carrying his own memories of having only one childhood friend. As MiNa struggles to run the stationary store, she begins to confront her past and discover a new perspective on life. This touching film beautifully captures the journey of healing, nostalgia, and finding unexpected joy in the most familiar places.
