Description:

The historical drama Gye Baek follows the tragic yet heroic life of Gye Baek, the son of Mu Jin, a loyal guard to Baekje King Mu. After his father is falsely accused of a crime, Gye Baek is forced to grow up as a commoner on the market streets. There, he falls in love with a beautiful merchant named Eun Go. However, destiny tears them apart when Gye Baek is captured in the mountains and becomes a war slave for Silla. While imprisoned, he reunites with Uija, a Baekje envoy, and uncovers a dark secret surrounding his father Mu Jin's death. As Uija ascends to become King Uija, the strong bond between the two friends is tested. Both men harbor deep feelings for Eun Go, creating a tense love triangle amidst political turmoil.
