Description:

The gripping drama Golden Apple follows a tragic mystery that tears a family apart. After a widowed farmer marries Keum Shils mother, their unhappy union ends when the mother is found dead in a river following a local election. She had been having an affair with Park Byung Sam, a wealthy landlord running for Parliament. Wrongfully accused of the murder, the farmer is tortured and dies in custody. His eldest daughter, Kim Kyung Sook, moves to Seoul to raise her brothers, Kyung Ku and Kyung Min, while vowing to clear their fathers name. Her prime suspect is Park Byung Sam, who is actually Keum Shils real father. However, Kyung Sooks quest for justice is complicated by her love for his son, Park Jong Kyu. When it turns out Park Byung Sam is not the killer, a suspenseful search begins to find out who truly committed the crime and why.
