Set in 1970s Korea during a dark military autocratic regime, Go Go 70s captures a revolutionary pop culture wave led by energetic youth. Singer Sangkyu and guitarist Mansik start by performing in shabby clubs near a U.S. military base before forming the six-member rock group Devils. After delivering a shocking yet amusing performance at a vocal band contest in Seoul, they achieve instant stardom at a GoGo dance club called Nirvana. Meanwhile, Mimi, who followed them to Seoul, becomes a famous fashion and dance icon. However, their heyday does not last long. A tragic fire at the club claims a band member's life, and the oppressive military dictatorship shuts down all clubs, banning their performances. Refusing to let despair silence their passion, Sangkyu plans one final, explosive concert called Devils Recital to bring their music back to the stage.
