In the dramatic series Glass no le, Tamaki Rei, portrayed by Igawa, is a woman haunted by the childhood tragedy of losing both parents in a French aircraft accident. In her mid-thirties, Rei travels to France to visit the crash site, where she meets Shibusawa Kazunari, played by Fujimoto Takahiro. Kazunari, who lost his wife in the same tragedy, is the director of the budget bureau of the Ministry of Finance. Rei quickly falls in love and marries him, moving in with Kazunari and his two adult sons, Saito Takumi and Nagayama Kento. While Rei strives to fit into this household of three men, her youthful beauty triggers intense discord. The oldest son, Saito Takumi, becomes deeply attracted to her. As Rei realizes her love for Kazunari was merely seeking a father figure, she begins returning his son's feelings. This forbidden attraction sparks a dangerous, morbid jealousy in Kazunari, threatening to shatter their fragile new family.
