Set in the near future in Tokyo Japan, the world faces its darkest hour. The evil terrorist organization known as Galactor has officially declared war on the entire globe. Equipped with highly advanced technology that far surpasses any government capabilities, Galactor has successfully occupied over half of the planet, spreading chaos and fear.

In a desperate bid to save humanity, Dr. Kozaburo Nambu of the International Science Organization takes decisive action. He gathers together five elite superhero ninja agents known collectively as Gatchaman. These highly trained warriors represent the last hope for mankind.
