Future! Future! centers on Makoto, an imaginative third-year high school girl in Hiroshima with a profound love for science fiction, despite her consistent academic struggles. Since junior high, she’s harbored a peculiar fascination with a tuna robot from a commercial. Her hopes for higher education are crushed when she fails her crucial college mock exams, leaving her dreams in jeopardy.

Suddenly, Makoto encounters Shinichi, a mysterious man who claims to be from the future. He delivers a shocking revelation: Makoto is destined to save the entire world! To accomplish this monumental task, she must first gain admission to college and successfully complete the blueprint for a vital robot.
