In the classic movie Front Page, Michael Hui plays Hui, the owner of a struggling Hong Kong tabloid magazine company on the verge of bankruptcy. To save his failing business, Hui hires martial artist Bill, played by Lee Sam Hui, to get a sensational headline. Bill targets SanSan, played by Catherine Hung Yan, the fiancée of a wealthy jewelry business owner. Hoping for an exclusive scoop, Bill pursues SanSan to uncover her private life. However, Bill soon discovers the heartbreaking reality of her troubled life. SanSan is struggling with a mother who has cancer, a mentally disabled brother, and a neglectful fiancé who puts work before her. Touched by her hardships, Bill develops deep sympathy and becomes highly reluctant to publish her story. Now, Bill faces a major moral dilemma, holding the ultimate fate of Hui’s tabloid magazine company in his hands.
