Flirting Scholar 2 is an entertaining action comedy that serves as a prequel to the classic original film. The story follows the young, justice-seeking scholar Tang Bo Hu and his three close friends, Zhu Zhi Shan, Wen Zheng Ming, and Zhou Wen Bing. When Tang Bo Hu is sent by his mother to study at the strict Qingfeng Monastery, he quickly grows tired of the monotonous lifestyle. To rescue him from boredom, his three loyal friends sneak him out for an exciting excursion. During their adventure, Tang Bo Hu crosses paths with the beautiful Qian Qian, the woman who will later lose her memory, be adopted by Madam Hua, and become Qiu Xiang. Tang Bo Hu instantly falls in love with her. However, their blooming romance faces a dangerous obstacle when Qian Qian is falsely accused of being a spider spirit. With a priest preparing to burn her to death, Tang Bo Hu must find a way to save his true love.
