Description:

In "Fireworks from the Heart," high schooler Hana returns home on the day of the Katakai Fireworks Festival after six months of leukemia treatment. She's shocked to find her once-loving older brother, Taro, has become a social recluse. Undeterred by his isolation and their parents' inaction, Hana attends the festival and, inspired by the planning youth group, decides to help Taro reconnect with society.

Initially, her attempt to get Taro into the youth group fails. However, Hana perseveres, helping him secure a part-time job as a paper boy and involving him in adult meetings for the Katakai Fireworks Festival. Slowly, Taro begins to emerge from his shell. But as winter approaches, Hana suffers a leukemia relapse. Visiting her daily in the hospital, Taro discovers the festival is a profound symbol of happiness for Hana, motivating him to take a proactive step and approach the youth group again, determined to bring joy back into his sister's life.
