"Father-in-law and Son-in-law" follows the tumultuous lives of Jin Gi, an out-of-fashion, third-rate movie star, and his son-in-law, Do Pil, a former third-rate actor now aspiring singer. Both men recently faced financial ruin after a messy attempt to find investors for their respective movie and album projects. Compounding their troubles, Jin Gi, the father-in-law, begins to suffer from dementia, becoming mentally unstable and prone to accidents, reportedly due to his mother-in-law's scheme. With Do Pil also kicked out of his own house, an unlikely and challenging cohabitation begins. This forced living arrangement between the close-yet-distant relatives explores the complexities of family bonds, resilience, and the pursuit of dreams amidst difficult circumstances.
