"Family Man" centers on Ko Hoi, a dedicated widower who considers his four daughters his most precious treasures. Having raised them through their adolescent years after their mother's passing, Ko Hoi's greatest anxieties now revolve around their romantic futures, love lives, and overall happiness.

The eldest daughter, Wasabi, has a quick temper, leading to constant disagreements with her husband, Kit Lo, a loving man despite his modest income. Second daughter Tracy enjoys a long-term relationship with boyfriend Ken, with whom she also co-owns a company. Bobo, the third sister, maintains extremely high standards for men, resulting in a frequently changing roster of boyfriends. Meanwhile, the youngest, Polly, a pretty and popular university student, finds herself constantly pursued by numerous admirers.

The lives of these Ko women are about to change with the arrival of Kelvin and Ming, best friends with distinctly different personalities. Kelvin is a smooth-talking sales manager with excellent social skills. Ming, in contrast, is soft-spoken, earnest, and honest, an ambitious but unlucky office worker. Their entrance into the Ko family's world promises to shake things up, exploring themes of love, family, and self-discovery.
