Description:

Dreams of Getting Rich tells the touching and comedic story of two impoverished friends from rural northeast China. Driven by ambitions of wealth, they leave their hometown in the early 1990s and head south to the bustling Shenzhen Special Economic Zone, hoping to pan for gold amidst China's reform and opening up era.

However, their simplistic nature and a series of near misses quickly turn their journey into a struggle. Their plans are dramatically altered by the unexpected arrival of a baby, transforming the two clueless men into rookie dads grappling with newfound responsibilities.
