Dondo Hare, the 76th NHK Asadora, follows the captivating journey of Natsumi, a 23-year-old aspiring pastry chef from Yokohama. While training under her father, Natsumi travels to Iwate Prefecture with her boyfriend Masaki to celebrate his grandmother Katsuno's 77th birthday. Katsuno is the head okami of a famous ryokan in Morioka City. When Katsuno falls ill, she asks Masaki to return and run the ryokan. Back in Yokohama, Masaki asks Natsumi to call off their wedding plans so he can fulfill his grandmother's request. Instead of letting him go, Natsumi makes a surprising vow to become the ryokan's okami herself. Will Natsumi experience the clear skies suggested by the series name Dondo Hare, or will this new path prove too challenging? This drama beautifully captures love, tradition, and dedication.
