In the poignant drama Don't Look Back, ten-year-old fifth-graders Akira and Koichi are inseparable best friends who constantly find themselves in trouble. As they drift apart, Akira formulates a new bond with Shun, a fatherless boy, while Koichi starts hanging out with Samajima, a mischievous newly-transferred student.
