In DOCTORS 3: The Ultimate Surgeon, chaos erupts at Dogami General Hospital when director Dogami Tamaki leaves her nephew and successor, surgeon Moriyama Suguru, in charge as acting director while she travels on a luxury liner. Struggling with his new duties, Moriyama begins behaving outrageously. Amidst this leadership crisis, patient Hirabayashi Fumie is diagnosed with a highly malignant liver angiosarcoma, giving her only six months to live without intervention. Knowing the procedure is too complex to perform alone, surgeon Sagara Kosuke seeks Moriyama’s authorization and full surgical support. However, the reckless acting director refuses due to the high risks involved. Undeterred, Sagara comforts the anxious patient while secretly launching a clever scheme. He enlists Shibuya Shoko, a medical representative from the drug company SI, to help him contact Tanabe, a former House of Representative member of the Ministry of Health Labour and Welfare. Sagara must now navigate hospital politics to save a life.
