Divorce Lawyer (Rikon Bengoshi) centers on Takako Mamiya, an accomplished lawyer who bravely steps away from her prestigious firm to launch her own practice. Despite her confident start, her former employers begin to create obstacles, causing her new staff and clients to drift away. Undeterred, Takako assembles an unconventional team: a college student with limited legal knowledge, a young woman primarily hoping to meet a rich man, a seasoned hardnosed lawyer, and a paralegal who has not yet passed the bar exam.

Initially, Takako reluctantly handles divorce cases, deeming them boring and unrewarding for an elite professional like herself. Yet, through her constant clashes and interactions with her eccentric employees and diverse clients, Takako undergoes a significant personal and professional evolution. She transforms into a very mature and tough lawyer. The series, airing on Fuji TV, also thoughtfully explores the inherent difficulties in legally judging the complexities of love and human relationships.
