Divas in Distress follows the intense 30-year rivalry between former divas Seung Ying Hung and Miu Sing Ho. Once colleagues, their battle for superiority completely fractured their relationship, with only their teacher Fung Han Man keeping them from cutting ties. However, their feud becomes deeply personal through their children. Ho's son, Chiang Ka Long, was married to Hung's late daughter, whose tragic death from a miscarriage left Hung in deep sorrow. Seeking to destroy Hung, Ho encourages Long to marry a wealthy television reporter, Heung Nai Hing. Meanwhile, Hung's carefully raised son, Chak Yau Sing, unexpectedly falls in love with Ho's renovation worker niece, Kwai Yi Hei. Fearing her son is repeating history and becoming a clone of her daughter and Long, Hung self-destructs. This romance triggers past hatred between Hung and Ho, dragging them into a bitter and awful fight that leaves their children in a major dilemma.
