Delightful Girl Choon Hyang, also known as Sassy Girl Choonhyang, is the 2005 interpretation of the classic Legend of Choonhyang. The story begins when Lee Mongryong is transferred from Seoul to a high school in Namwon, North Jeolla Province. Chunhyang does her best to help Mongryong, her first love and the son of the Namwon Police Station chief, enter a prestigious university. However, after meeting with Mongryongs first love Chaerin, Mongryongs love toward Chunhyang is shattered, though Chunhyangs love remains unwavering.

One day, Byeon Hakdo, the CEO of a famous entertainment company, appears in her life. He exudes confidence that he can make any woman fall for him. But as Chunhyang shows absolutely no interest in him, his selfesteem is damaged profoundly. Unused to rejection, Byeon Hakdo becomes determined to make her love him, sparking an intense emotional rivalry.
