The chilling film "Danur" follows Risa, whose innocent childhood wish for a friend takes a supernatural turn. On her 8th birthday, lonely Risa simply asks for companionship. Her mother, Elly, soon observes her daughter laughing and playing with unseen friends, growing suspicious when she realizes Risa is interacting with ghosts. Desperate, Elly manages to separate Risa from her spectral playmates, forcing them to leave the grandmother's house.

Nine years later, Risa must return to that very house with her younger sister Riri to care for their grandmother. The unsettling peace is quickly broken as strange occurrences and spiritual disturbances resurface. The haunting escalates dramatically when Riri suddenly disappears. Risa must confront the malevolent forces of her past and brave a terrifying unknown to rescue Riri from an evil ghost intent on pulling her into another world.
