In the comedy-drama Dangerously Excited, DaeHee Yoon JeMoon is a conservative city government employee in the Mapo district of Seoul. His simple life revolves around work, trivial facts, and television, perfectly matching his low-level civil service job. However, everything changes when DaeHee and a coworker investigate noise complaints from an indie rock band practicing in the famous Hongdae area. During their encounter, a con man tricks the band into renting a fake space, leading to the theft of their instruments and money. Holding DaeHee responsible for the situation, the angry band confronts him at his office. To prevent a major scene in front of his boss, DaeHee reluctantly offers them his own basement for practice. Despite having zero interest in music, DaeHee finds himself drawn deeper into their world. When two band members suddenly quit, this ordinary government worker is unexpectedly recruited to join the indie rock band as their new bassist, turning his quiet, predictable life completely upside down.
