Dangerous Mind explores the intense pressures faced by a senior high school student preparing for national entrance exams. This incident leads to the reporting student's forced transfer, highlighting the teacher's unpredictable behavior.

The protagonist soon experiences the teacher's animosity firsthand, refusing to attend after-school cram sessions and reading comic books in class. As punishment, the student's desk is moved to the hallway. The conflict intensifies when the teacher publicly humiliates the student's mother, prompting a physical altercation between the student and the teacher. The school issues a harsh warning, igniting a severe dispute between the student's family and the institution. Concurrently, the student's parents confront divorce, and peer ostracism adds to the isolation. These escalating events compel the student to profoundly question the essence of academic routines, societal expectations, and his aspirations for a meaningful future.
