In the intense crime drama Cruel Winter Blues, JaeMun is haunted by a tragic past. Years ago, he witnessed his close friend being stabbed to death by rival gang members and made the cowardly choice to flee the scene. Now driven by a burning desire for revenge and personal redemption, JaeMun finally gets his chance to make amends. He travels to BolGyo, a remote seaside town, alongside the gang's newest recruit, ChiGuk. ChiGuk is a sharp young man and former accomplished Taekwondo athlete who possesses strong personal ties to this quiet town. Together, JaeMun and ChiGuk scout the area, zeroing in on a small local restaurant. This quiet eatery is owned by the mother of the very man who killed JaeMun's friend. As tension builds, JaeMun must decide how far he will go for vengeance.
