Description:

Cruel Romance is a gripping drama set in Shanghai, following Rong Jinxiu, played by Chen Qiaoen. Desperate to save her family after they fall on hard times, Jinxiu travels to the city seeking help from her estranged half-sister, Yin Mingzhu, portrayed by Lv Jiarong. However, Mingzhu, now the lover of a wealthy businessman, still harbors deep resentment toward the Rong family and refuses to help. Stranded and starving on the streets, Jinxiu is rescued by Zuo Zhen, played by Huang Xiaoming, and his follower Shi Hao, played by Yang Le. They take her to a luxury hotel owned by Xiang Yingdong, played by Kimi Qiao. Mistakenly believing that Yingdong is her savior, Jinxiu develops a crush on him. In a twist of fate, she confesses her feelings for Yingdong to Zuo Zhen, unaware of his true role in her rescue, setting off a complex web of love and misunderstanding.
