Climbing to Spring is a touching drama about self-discovery and reconciliation. Tooru Kenichi Matsuyama spent his childhood living on the majestic Tateyama Mountain Range under his strict father. Seeking independence, he rebelled and moved to the city to work as a successful financial trader. However, his fast-paced life changes forever when he learns of his father’s death. Returning to the Tateyama Mountain Range for the funeral, Tooru makes the unexpected decision to stay and take over his father’s humble cottage. Although transitioning back to the rugged mountain lifestyle is difficult at first, Tooru soon finds himself healed by the therapeutic power of nature.
