Description:

Churasan is an NHK Asadora drama charting the journey of a young woman, Eri, born on Kohamajima Island, Okinawa, on May 15, 1972, the significant day Okinawa was returned to Japan. Eleven years later, her family's small inn welcomes guests from Tokyo: Kamimura Shizuko and her two sons, Kazuya and Fumiya. Eri is heartbroken to discover Kazuya is terminally ill, with the family seeking Okinawa's beautiful nature for his final moments. Amidst this, Eri and Fumiya, Kazuya's younger brother, promise to marry each other someday. However, following Kazuya's passing, Fumiya and his mother return to Tokyo. Years later, destiny reunites them in Tokyo, where Eri works as a nurse and Fumiya as a doctor at the same hospital. The compelling narrative spans across picturesque Okinawa, including Naha, and the bustling city of Tokyo.
